High School Sweethearts Separated by Time
R & E’s love story began in the familiar hallways of high school. They discovered love for the first time in each other’s company, building a bond that felt effortless and natural. Their laughter echoed through crowded hallways, and stolen glances became the highlight of their days. Yet, as often happens, life pulled them in different directions. R moved to UW to pursue his dreams, while E stayed in the Bay Area. The distance grew, and eventually, they drifted apart. But even as the years passed, the love they once shared never truly disappeared.
A Fateful Reunion
Years later, fate found a way to reconnect them. Amid the electric energy of Porter Robinson’s Second Sky Festival, their paths crossed again. Thousands of people filled the space, but somehow, their eyes found each other. The moment felt surreal, as if the universe had conspired to bring them back together at just the right time. It was more than chance—it was a reminder that some connections are too strong to be broken. With music pulsing around them, they picked up where they had left off, realizing that their bond had never faded.
A Second Chance at Forever
This time, they knew they wouldn’t let go. Their reconnection brought a sense of certainty and clarity that hadn’t existed before. As if destiny had planned every step, E prepared to move to Phoenix for school just as R’s job relocated him to the same city. The timing felt almost too perfect to be a coincidence. Their relationship blossomed quickly, each moment strengthening their bond. Then, along the breathtaking coastline of Carmel, with waves crashing against the rocks and the sun dipping below the horizon, R asked E to spend forever with him. With tears of joy and laughter between them, she said yes. Their love story had come full circle, proving that sometimes, love just needs the right moment to bloom.

To celebrate their engagement, we explored Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Rugged cliffs met crashing waves, and sunlight filtered through cypress trees. Yet, the beauty of the landscape couldn’t outshine R & E’s love.
